ABOUT THE PROJECT
Every week I am in charge of making sure the IDW newsletter, the IDWeekly, gets built and sent out on schedule. Each week I send out a call for content, meaning I ask the higher ups what they would like to promote in the upcoming week along with the book release schedule. After deciding what will go in the newsletter I get each editor associated with the newsworthy books to write-up copy that will go into the newsletter. I then create a splashy graphic to go with that weeks main release. I format the newsletter and make sure everything is filled in. I am then in charge of making sure each proofing revision gets done and send it around for mulitple rounds of approvals. After the changes are made and approvals come through I schedule it at the end of the week to go out on Mondays in the morning. This process repeats every week and I have never been late with a single one no matter what issue arises.
